Orange County Search Engine Optimization
Action Internet Marketing is often considered a one-stop shop. While many of the larger-sized web/marketing companies also have the ability to do all your web-based items from one location, it often comes at a much higher rate. Many of your smaller or individual companies do one of the aspects that we offer, but often do not have the ability to do all the aspects and therefore farm out your work to other businesses which do not allow you to build that relationship with, as well as additional fees. Action Internet Marketing is a small business that has the ability to do all aspects and at a fraction of the cost of the big boys. This includes Search Engine Optimization, otherwise known as SEO.
Understanding SEO
Search Engine Optimization is just that – Optimizing your website for the Search Engines. After all, don’t you want to be found on Google, Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Ask, etc, etc? Your SEO, when done properly, is the foundation of your entire website. Done incorrectly and your foundation will develop cracks. However, a properly done SEO foundation will give you the boost your site needs and deserves. One that is not done properly could set your site back for many months.
What Makes A Good Keyword?
This is the most often asked question we get in regards to SEO. We run your word/phrase through a keyword program and it has to clear three hurdles:
Relevancy. First and foremost, is the keyword even relevant to your business? If not, but you just happen to like the word, nobody will be searching for you with that word. Only you know it. At the same time, if they find you under that word, but you don’t match what they are looking for, it’s a safe bet they will pass on you and go to the next listing.
Potential Number of Hits. After we establish that the word has relevancy, we review the potential number of hits it could receive. Sometimes you think you have the word of all words, and it describes your business perfectly. However, in the world of SEO, you could face the reality that, despite your love of the word, internet searches are not as in love with it as you are and thus causing it to be a poor choice. If the word has a good amount of potential hits, then it remains in consideration.
SEO Level of Competition. Ok, so your word passed the first two tests, and now you are on to the competition level of it. Is your word heavily competitive, which means you have little to no chance of ever being on page one of Google, or at least not for a very long time. Or maybe it’s on the opposite end of the spectrum, making your word a potential golden nugget.
You pass all three tests, and that word is in!
Where does it go? After discovering all the best keywords for you, we use them in your metafiles, such as Title, Description, Headers, Content, and Photos. Each page has its own set of SEO foundations that we consider for you. After everything is set up, we build on your internet marketing and watch the analytics; then game plan from there.
